"The wireless access devices in the ELLB are approaching end-of-life. We would like to replace them in the next couple of weeks. I could use your help in three ways as we prepare for this upgrade:
1 – In preparation for replacing the devices, we will need to reboot the wireless in the building. We would like to do this reboot this Wednesday night at 10:00pm. There is 5-10 minutes outage as the devices are rebooted. Please let me know if this works for the building’s schedule.
2 – Once the devices are rebooted, in the next week or so, we would come to the ELLB to replace the wireless devices. Our team would have ladders and replace the devices one at a time. We should be able to complete the work in a day or two. There may be a brief reduction in service near the newly replaced device until it comes online and gets its configuration. This about a five minute process per device.
3 – Prior to replacing the devices we want to be sure we are providing wireless service in the places and strengths that are needed within the building. I have attached a set of maps for the building showing the existing coverage areas, as well as some changes we would like to make. Please review the attached maps and let me know if you have any changes (or questions) about this, as we want to make sure we provide you with good wireless network coverage. A few things to know about the maps:
